Lead Prevention Campaign
The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Project approached The Manahan Group (TMG) to help raise awareness about the dangers of lead poisoning in high-risk areas across the state. With a focus on lead prevention, TMG developed a targeted digital campaign designed to reach vulnerable populations in areas most at risk of lead exposure, especially children living in older homes with lead-based paint.
TMG used a combination of stock audio and video footage to create impactful TV spots. These ads were strategically placed in digital spaces, targeting specific zip codes in the state identified as “hot spots” for lead poisoning risk. By targeting these high-risk areas, the campaign reached individuals and families who may not have been aware of the dangers of lead exposure or the importance of lead prevention efforts.
The ads were designed to inform the public about the dangers of lead poisoning and how it can be prevented. The campaign highlighted the critical need for testing, remediation, and education in high-risk neighborhoods, emphasizing the role of homeowners, parents, and communities in reducing lead exposure.
Spreading Awareness about Lead Prevention
The message was reinforced through a well-rounded media approach, including the use of engaging video content that effectively conveyed the risks of lead poisoning and the importance of taking action. By using accessible and clear messaging, the ads aimed to increase awareness and encourage individuals to take the necessary steps to protect their families and homes from lead hazards.
In recognition of its innovative use of stock footage, the TV campaign won a prestigious Bronze Telly Award for “Use of Stock Footage in Online Commercials.” This accolade highlights the effectiveness of the campaign in reaching and educating audiences on the crucial topic of lead prevention.
By leveraging the power of digital media and targeted messaging, TMG successfully raised awareness about lead prevention and the importance of protecting children and families from the harmful effects of lead exposure.
