In 2022, the State Office of Rural Health approached TMG for assistance in creating a way to recognize and celebrate the strides being made in the realm of rural health all over the mountain state.
After an On-Target session to determine goals, audience, and funding, it was decided that introducing a magazine for partners in rural health and education institutions would best reach the target audience to potentially gain more readers.
The client compiled a list of potential stories to highlight and TMG coordinated interviews and photography to ensure all asset needs were completed. Once the content was complete, TMG created a look for the magazine, collaborating with the client to edit each story, identify photographed individuals, etc.
This magazine is unique in that it highlights the amazing people all over the state who work tirelessly to make sure that all West Virginians have access to equitable healthcare. There are also efforts to work proactively to increase access to healthy foods and decrease inactivity, resulting in healthier lifestyles.
The inaugural issue was a great success with 2,000 copies distributed and receiving praise from the public that it led to the creation of additional issues. Currently, there are three issues published, and a fourth in the works.
