Project Overview

West Virginia’s infrastructure is crumbling and our roads and bridges always rank among the worse in the country. West Virginians for Better Transportation (WVBT), a coalition of more than 300 businesses, groups and organizations, hired TMG to create a campaign that would highlight the state’s need for a long-term solution to West Virginia’s failing surface infrastructure.

For the integrated marketing campaign we developed a brand which included a logo, website, print ads, social media assets, television and radio spots, rack cards and billboards among other materials. Public relations efforts included a rally at the State Capitol on Transportation Day, outreach efforts to legislators and a robust earned media program.

In 2017, after a legislative session that included two special sessions, $100 million in new annual revenue was approved by legislators to fund a $2.5 billion bond levy.
