Kanawha County Public Library Vehicle Wraps
Challenge
The Kanawha County Public Library (KCPL) needed to increase visibility for its services throughout the region, particularly in underserved and rural communities where awareness of modern library offerings was limited. As KCPL expanded its outreach efforts—including bookmobile services and community programming—they saw an opportunity to leverage library vehicle wraps as a powerful tool for public engagement.
By turning their fleet into moving billboards, KCPL could promote its brand, mission, and evolving resources. Many residents still associated libraries solely with books, so the library vehicle wraps needed to communicate the transformation of the library into a hub of technology, education, and lifelong learning.
Key Objectives
- Elevate the library’s public presence across Kanawha County
- Create vibrant, eye-catching library vehicle wraps that reflect the diversity of library services
- Inspire curiosity and drive community engagement with library programming
Solution
The Manahan Group (TMG) developed and executed a creative centered around custom-designed library vehicle wraps that served as mobile marketing tools. The wraps weren’t just decorative—they were intentional, brand-forward assets designed to spark interest and invite community interaction.
Design elements included:
- Bold, vibrant colors and typography aligned with KCPL’s branding
- Messaging that positioned the library as mobile, inclusive, and essential to community life
The wraps featured welcoming visuals and calls to action like:
“More Than Books” and a quote by Albert Einstein: “The only thing you absolutely have to know is the location of the library.”
Deliverables
- Custom Library Vehicle Wraps for 4 KCPL vehicles
